Research shows that humans make snap judgements about what they see within a literal blink of an eye. This means that you have less than 1 second to convince new customers that they should hire you! The way your website looks truly matters!
Case in point: Let’s say “Joe” is looking for an outstanding law firm to take his million dollar case. 😉 So Joe Googles “Atlanta lawyers.” Now say the first website he lands on is one of the best law firms in Atlanta. But when Joe clicks on the bios page to view the profiles of the numerous lawyers at this firm, each attorney shown is photographed differently. Some lawyers have outdated studio shots, some have what look to be home snapshots. Some are photographed in front of a solid color backdrop, some are photographed outdoors, some indoors. Some are wide shots, some are tight shots, none of the lighting or white balance is the same… There’s absolutely no consistency among the images of this team of lawyers. Joe gets confused. This website does not look professional. There is not a consistent brand image on this law firm’s webpage. So Joe clicks on to the next website.
In the above scenario the law firm that Joe was considering hiring is one of the top law firms in the Atlanta. They presumably would have a done a great job representing him. However, this hypothetical firm lost a new prospective client based off Joe’s quick assessment of their website. If only these attorneys had invested in a great Atlanta Corporate Photographer! The firm would have easily made back the money they spent on professional Atlanta corporate photography by bringing in that many more customers!
